Camel Tours

Are you planning a trip to Wadi Rum and want to incorporate a camel ride into your itinerary?

We offer the following options:

1) Wadi Rum village to camp or camp to Wadi Rum village (morning)

This one-way tour is available in both directions. You can either sett off with your camel and enjoy the silence and serenity of the desert before reaching the camp OR you can come back to the village with a camel after spending the night in the camp.

This is an excellent authentic experience that can be added on top of your other planned activities.

Please note that this tour does not include site visits and is only intended to provide an experience of travelling through the desert similar to ancient caravans.

The journey takes approximately 1,5 hours.

Price: 25 JOD per camel. Each camel can carry only 1 person.

2) Sunset camel ride 

A peaceful camel ride over the red sand in the cool late afternoon. 

Plod along on top of your camel, watch the sun slowly set on the nearby mountains and see the colours develop in the sky.

This tour departs 1hr hour prior to sunset and takes approximately 2 - 2,5 hours.

Price: 30 JOD per camel. Each camel can carry only 1 person.

Please note that your camel guide may speak very little English and may be quite young. The camels we use in or tours are owned by other families from the village. Renting them is their main source of income. 

There are no banks or ATMs in Wadi Rum.
