Our Bedouin camp
The camp lies 4 km from Rum village, about 20 minutes drive, against the red rocks in the heart of the protected desert, surrounded by magnificent vistas on all sides of both incredible rock formations and wide open desert plains. The camp is situated by a small hill that is the perfect location to witness the most spectacular sunrises and sunsets, or simply to meditate on the vast expanse that lies in front of you.
The camp is simple, authentic & comfortable, with colorful, traditional tents made from goat hair, a kitchen, toilets and showers (hot water heated with solar power). We have five tents that can host two people each, two large tents that host groups of up to six people, and another large tent with carpets, incense and a roaring fire that serves as a communal area where we serve breakfast, dinner, refreshments and hookah shisha pipes. On warmer nights the fire is relocated outside, to a large fire-pit surrounded by a wall to sit on and watch the flames flicker through the deserts darkness.

Our camp has the approval of the Jordan Government. This is important because Wadi Rum is a protected area, therefore it is vital that human presence and their activities do not harm or destroy the area so that future generations can enjoy this magnificent location.
